Filament to buy for downloaded 3MF

Hi. When i have downloaded a model to Bambu Studio, the project filament populates with the filaments and colors that should be used. But how can i see what color to buy? If i click on a color in project filaments, the popup show the hex code. But i cant find this hexcode in the pdf´s containing hex codes. A function in bambu studio would be that i can get a list of project filaments used, and maby the color number. I know that some creators include filament in project tab so it is easy to find correct filament but some don’t do that.

If its “Bambu” filament - the swatches in the picker are the swatches that are on their store. You have PETG basic selected in your slicer and:

Else, yeah, you need to use hex codes and informed guesses. There is a site that tries its best to capture colors from the same camera, ive found it to be… ok. More hits than misses
https://filamentcolors.xyz/ is the more evidence driven one, with filament in hand taken by real camera
https://filascope.com is based on marketing photos and RGB extracting from pictures / crowdsourced

Alright. But the hex in the slicer is nowhere to be found on PETG page in Bambu Store. It makes it hard, especially when i have a color sight defect . I think it is bambu filament, its the colors that are in the project filementss right after i opened the 3mf from makerworld

Mine shows the proper color code for the shop.

Yes mine too when i do a preparation myself, but it seems like it does not when i download and open a 3mf from the online models.

It seems like that it only shows product ID when the actual bambu color preset is selected in the exported 3mf which would make sense since other colors don’t exist in the bambulab lineup.

I just tried 3 files.

File 1

File2: Does show Bambu PETG HF but a custom color was selected and thus no Item ID apart from the color hex code.

File3:

So if you load a 3mf and there’s no filament ID, then the selected color is a “custom” one and not from the bambu selection.
