Hey, I just wanted to share something I noticed in case anyone has the Bambu Lab TPU for AMS at home. Personally, I don’t think it’s as good as regular TPU, it feels more like a stiff plastic with just a little bit of flex, not as flexible as I expected.
That said, it does really well with heat. I tried bending a large but hollow part with a heat gun, and instead of softening like PLA usually does, it just charred black without becoming very flexible, no melting. Then I tested it with a blowtorch and it melted eventually, but not easily, and it actually stopped burning as soon as I pulled the flame away.
So while it’s not the best for flexible parts, I think it could be super useful for things that need to handle heat, like parts I leave in my car during summer.
