Firmware 01.06.00.00 is an absolute disgrace

Hello everyone,
I must also comment on the topic of updates for A1 and A1-Mini. The firmware 01.06.00.00 is an absolute disgrace. To give my opinion on this topic, I have 1P1P, 1A1 and 2*A1Mini devices and several hundred hours of printing experience!
As always, I installed the updates and the 3 A1s are only printing rubbish.
The first layer was as rough as sandpaper and the applied filament was either scraped off or pressed into the plate. I spent 1.5 days looking for the error. Fortunately, I didn’t let myself be influenced by the troubleshooting tips, which included suggestions to loosen the screws on the heating bed and reconfigure the nozzle with a GCode.
That would have completely ruined the printer.
I even replaced all three nozzles, but that didn’t help.
Then there was the issue with the AMS where the update arrow next to the filament display wouldn’t stop spinning, and I was told to simply thread the filament in and out and the error would be fixed. Of course, that was nonsense. What did I do?

I reset the firmware to the previous version and all the errors disappeared.
Guys, this shouldn’t be happening! I would like to hear a statement from Bambu.

Sorry for my bad English!

Hello,
Indeed, since this update, I’ve also had the problem of the spinning arrow, but also a HOTEND fan speed error at startup, and recently a problem finding the source of the head. I’ll try downgrading the version.

Do a full recalibration after you roll back. Play it safe

I too thought it was the firmware and have since rolled things back. But I found that the latest version of the Bambu Slicer started causing issues with my prints by lifting the model by a single .2mm layer so the supports would print but then layer 2 which should be layer one was in the air and then I no longer had any adhesion to the bed.

I have also been having a similar issue. Altho for me it seems like the first and second layer is the issue. It was like the nozzle was a hair to far away from the print plate on layer 1 and then was too close on layer 2.

I have done a factory reset and a full re-calibration and it seems to have gotten a little better. I never even thought about the slicer also being part of the issue.

There are some bugs with ver 1.6 and I was advised to roll back to previous version, which I did and haven’t had any problems since. Bambu said that they will fix the bugs with the next update, which will be 1.7 but haven’t heard anything from them…so I am running ver 1.5 until I hear otherwise

Yes I also have had these same issues so rolled back to 1.05.

I went back to 1.5 and fixed the blinking white lights on AMS. I had 2 blinking which confused me what was printing next.

No problem with version 01.06 for me.
Perhaps you should contact support.

glad to hear the update works for you, when did you update to 01.06, do you use an AMS lite, what version BStudio are you running, on what kind of computer do you have.

I never update. I don’t trust Bambu.

BS : 2.2.1.60
Yes I’m using en AMS and my computer is a usual one, with Windows 11 (home edition)
The firmware was updated in the week of the release. In a French 3d printing forum, no one has reported difficulties with this firmware.

Then why even bother posting here. Do you think we even care who you trust or don’t. If you have nothing constructive to say, keep your comments to yourself.

Your comment is not appropriate.
I had just said that is work for most people so that those who have problem should contact Bambu support (as I wrote it in my first message in this topic…)
Moreover, those who are waiting information before upgrade should know they can do it …
Is it clear enough for you ???

If you noticed, I wasn’t responding to your post.

You’ll agree that it wasn’t obvious…
