It is great to got new firmware with new killer feature video on handy in my phone when I am away from home. However it is usless because downloading never ends with success.
I got some advise for bambu.

Maybe you can get money for cloud service working like it should…
P.S.:
Bugs:
-failed to downgrade
-failed to calibrate extruder/nozzle (calibration just stops and printer is disconnectiong from studio).
I am seeing the same issue; since the firmware update, the download from the cloud failed 80% of the time. It’s making the machine unusable. I will have to configure it for local LAN only just so I can get back to printing reliably.
The whole workflow needs to be reworked so that all file transfers are via LAN by default while still keeping the cloud for remote control. There is no technical reason this can’t be done (I say this as a software developer who does a lot of API and cloud development). I’m also not saying that it is “easy” since the current software makes assumptions about the cloud usage that would need to change.
Just wanted to follow-up here; I left a support ticket with Bambu and they responded back via email within about 12hrs. They suggested I revert the firmware from the Handy app and do a full calibration afterwards. It took two tries to revert it, but once successful, and after the calibration, the communications was working again - downloads of models was quick and reliable.
The support person (Jason) was great to work with and we had several exchanges over about a 15min time span - very responsive. He also told me that they’ve not seen this issue reported broadly and so were finding only very isolated cases and they felt it was likely due to a partially failed update to the new firmware (vs. a bug that would impact a lot more people).
I’ll probably try the upgrade again to see if the symptom returns but at least I know that I can get back to the original firmware and print reliably again.
Hi, I have been having similar issues with wifi – the printer just disconnects every single time when I am printing something. Did you encounter this same issue with wifi? The printer is visible in router, but cant ping to it, neither connect to handy/studio, as it is showing “offline”. Thx for answer
In my case, the issue was with the printer downloading the print file from the cloud. Once it retrieved the file, the printing itself worked perfectly. Your symptoms seem different but if this started after you upgraded the firmware, I would recommend downgrading like I did to see if the problem goes away.
I dont have them either, download works great, but the cloud monitoring works for some time and then, mid print, the printer randomly diconnects from studio/Handy and only thing I can do is either re-bind the printer or turn it off and on back again… It happens only when printing, if I let the printer turned on idle, it works with no issues.
