Update for status: now my bambu started to use ams properly. I didn’t change anything, I just printed mono color for the time being and now, luckly it started to work properly
I can’t get anything to stick to my bed since the update. how do you downgrade. I’m new to 3D printing. And this is my first printer and I thought this thing was supposed to be the best the best but I’ve had nothing but problems since the update. Any help thanks
If it helps you can check filament manufacturer heatbed temperature values. And if it will not work and want to downgrade you go through Bambu Handy. Menu section at bottom you will see firmware. And at the botrom downgrade. I had same issues, finally I heated bed 10 more and keep door open and it is solved. And also don’t forget to wash plate with soap and water only.
maybe you can try the following: Remove the ams plugs, try updating just the printer, wait for the update to complete, plug in the ams and try the update again. If you still can’t solve the problem, please create a ticket and add printer logs
Hi @Buddyw16 .
You use the Bambu Handy app.
Pick Devices. then the 3 bars at the top. Then Firmware Versions.
At the bottom of that page you will get an option of “I want to downgrade to a previous version”
Tried this before. But to be sure, I tried again. Didn’t complete the update. Tried going back to previous updates in this state. Did not complete any of the firmware updates. Ticket has already been created and support has not been much help. They have suggested WIFI issues ( not the case) and issues communicating with the LCD screen and SD card to the AP card. AP card appears to be in a correct state according to WIKI. And No apparent damage to cable connection to LCD screen. Replaced SD card with new. Issue remains unchanged.
Have you tried my suggestion above for an offline update? I would link the download URL for the latest firmware update from Bambu, but I have a feeling it may be against the rules to do so on here.
When they tell you that it may be “Wifi issues” they don’t mention that it may be wifi issues they’ve created from their end. In the meantime, downloading the updates and transferring them to your SD card is the quickest solution I can think of.
No I have not tried that approach. I do not know where to aquire the file for the latest firmware update to attempt an offline update via the SD card. I understand not listing a URL publicly. Any clues as to where I can download this file?
I have just had a problem with slot 2 on this firmware. When it switched to slot 2 it just kept purging. I am now in the process of rolling back
I’ve had this issue before and I’m not sure the cause but it happened on 01.06 so it seems to be a specific bug. Trying resetting the AMS. A firmware downgrade may fix it but it shouldn’t be necessary
How do you reset the AMS? I had already performed a factory reset on 1.08 due to Wi-Fi issue.
This can also be caused by debris or pieces of broken filament in the AMS preventing the filament sensors from working correctly. If resetting doesn’t have any effect, I would take your AMS apart and check the filament path on slot 2. Using compressed air usually makes it possible to clean without fully disassembling. The filament sensor has spring loaded magnets that aren’t much fun to search for when they go flying across the room.
Do you have a download link? I could not find anything …
thanks in advance
I hope your problem has been solved! I am experiencing on my skin what you went through… with the aggravation that my printer has only two days “of life” and 3 hours of use before becoming a nice (but useless) ornament.
Were you able to download and force a downgrade to earlier versions? If yes, could you tell me where you downloaded the firmware version and how to install it via sd card? Thank you in advance!
Is there a source for X1C firmware other than Bambu? AFAIK, Bambu is the only source, and it cannot be downloaded as a file for later installation - it goes from the Bambu server directly to the printer.
Even X1Plus has to access the Bambu server to access and install the base firmware.
It becomes unnecessarily frustrating for us.
I have opened a ticket because, since the update failed, the machine can no longer do anything, not even the calibration. The virtual assistant only sends me error notifications: TH, MicroLidar, and Accelerometer.
Tech support recommends that I follow guides where parts are replaced (but what should I replace them with? I received the printer 4 days ago - it only worked two days - it’s not like I have extra parts). This is frustrating.
The whole thing probably started from an error in installing the firmware and they are unable to provide a backup-firmware system remotely?
Can you not change the firmware using the Bambu Handy app?
Just go to Devices. Tap the 3 bars top right. The bottom option on the list is Firmware Version.
Unfortunately I couldn’t.
I tried and tried again, but it failed every time.
solved after replacing of the hub module
