Firmware download stuck at 25%

Hi

We’re updating the firmware on our Bambu Lab A1 Mini.

The message on the seems to be stuck at 25%.

Can we turn the printer off safely and try again?

Turn it off the firmware is just downloading it should not be installed yet so when you try to update it again it will continue where it left off.
It’s probably stuck trying to find a dependency or something.

I’ve tried twice on my mini and it sticks at 25%. I’ll try again in a week or two.

Had it stuck at 25% on my A1 and I restarted it despite the warning afterwards it downloaded and installed without issue. Still kinda unpleasant feeling.

My download is still stalling at 25%, despite multiple retries…

I was stuck at 25% and powered off and on again and the A1 Mini then sucessfully updated. Nerve wracking but it worked.

I have also stuck on 25% upgrade experience. I’ve waited, until printer/app returns error on update, than restarted printer with a switch button, then upgrade was successful.

I have this problem right now…which way is it going to go I wonder? :roll_eyes:

Just had it happen, stuck at 25%. Waite for the error of the failed update, then tried it using Bambu Studio and it went without a hitch. about 5 minutes

You can do a firmware update without having to be online - Hit Google or your preferred search engine and you’ll find the firmware updates on the Bambu site, and a link that shows you how to install that newer firmware via the SD card.

You can try turning the printer off and back on and then updating again. Sometimes you can try one of the other methods, like if you initiated this one from the printer screen try again from the app or Bambu Studio.

[Fixed] I can confirm that the update will complete if you start the update, let it fail, restart the printer using the switch on the back, and wait for it to prompt you to update it again, after that it will complete the update successfully.
Here are the steps:

  1. Start the firmware update as normal.
  2. Let the update run until it fails.
  3. Turn the printer off using the power switch on the back.
  4. Wait about 10–15 seconds, then turn the printer back on.
  5. When the printer boots up, it will prompt you to update again.
  6. Start the update a second time — it should now complete successfully.

This worked consistently for me. Hopefully it helps others running into the same issue!
