In Bambu Studio I noticed that it did a firmware upgrade on my printer 2 days ago. I just checked it now and it says I have the latest version. It says I have version 01.05.01.00.
But when I look at the firmware history page for my P1S it shows many more updates after this version. In fact there is no exact version matching my version on this page.
I did a separate Google search for my exact firmware version and this came up under the X1C
Also, my print profiles also say X1C. I’ve always assumed that the reason for this is because they are compatible with my P1S, but now I am not so sure.
Is this just an issue with the webpage not displaying the correct versions, or have I somehow ended up with the X1C firmware!?
If someone else with a P1S can confirm what firmware they are on it be great.
Thanks,
If I remember correctly that version of firmware was the last released version for the public P series Beta group. This explain the release notes not lining up. Have you opted in to the public Beta group via the Handy app? Perhaps try opting out and restarting the printer.
I’m curious as to the beta version being a lower number than mine as I’m not in a beta group for Bambu Lab because I have been in public beta test groups and the number was higher than the sequence of someone who was not in beta but was up to date.
Unless that printer was in some dark corner of the warehouse.
Ever since I became aware of the USB-B behind the keypad I have wondered if that is how the load the software to each machine before being boxed up ready to ship.
Very interesting. So, my printer really is out of date or has the wrong firmware.
I don’t have it connected to Bambu Handy because I can’t get the app to work on my phone. Turns out I am running an older IOS version than what will work for Bambu Handy - that’s another (and long story), but suffice to say I cannot use it. I connect to my printer through the LAN which is good enough for me, so I only see firmware updates via Bambu Studio.
Did anyone check the Process Profiles? Do yours show has BBL X1C or BBL PS1?
I can also see that my AMS firmware is out of date too. This is not good.
I managed to get Bamu Handy working on another device and connect to it. It’s now updated to the latest firmware. Terrible design choice by Bambu though to only enable firmware updates through Bambu Handy and not Studio
