Firmware notification stopped my print

So, yesterday, near the end of a print I was doing (after manually swapping filament 2 times for a multi color print without AMS), I find my printer stopped, literally mid way through ironing the top layer of the 2nd of 6 objects on the bed.
On the screen it was asking if I wanted to run the next firmware update. Are you kidding me? what the ■■■■ is that?
Why would it stop mid print to ask me for a firmware update? Top it off, the 4 hour print was completely wasted. Because of this stop, Bambu studio seemed to have canceled my print, so I couldn’t just continue.

Anyone else run into this?

Not the P1S, but the A2L just pushed a notification for a firmware update 1.5 days into my print, canceled the print, and ruined half a kilo of filament. So That was lovely.

So not just me… ah well… Sorry to hear that. For me it wasn’t that bad, but still… They should have that kind of alert/notification happen only on idle. or at least wait till the job finishes…

Yeah. Thankfully didn’t happen during a recent 6 day print. I think I’ll disconnect the internet when I do long prints, just in case.
