With the number of these there have been, and I’m not aware of a single case where a firmware update issue wasn’t solved by replacing the main board, I have to wonder if there wasn’t a bad batch of main boards.
In a lot of the cases where this occurred, the user lost the use of the AMS unit(s) until it was resolved but resolution was pretty quick.
I don’t know if they were repaired under warranty or if Bambu has replaced main boards outside of warranty. If this is a warranty only kind of thing, folks might want to find a convenient time and try updating their AMS units before warranty times out.
I bought a X1C combo last year black Friday sale and my AMS units updated fine so maybe other combos bought then are fine too. Would be helpful if those with problems post when they got their printers so might be able to see how big an issue it might be and maybe get systems fixed before they time out of warranty - if this is only a warranty repair. I don’t know. If someone else knows…
