First and Top Layer Issues - Over exstrusion? Cooling? (w_pictures)

Hi there, I know there must be threads on this topic already but after a fair amount of digging, I couldn’t quite find a close match to what I’m seeing.

What’s happening with my first layer? Over extrusion? And how to fix it? Subsequent layers eventually get smoothed out but I’d like to get cleaner first layers.

Is the billowing I’m seeing on the top layers related to the same issue I’m having with the first layers? The thing is I have never seen this issue with pillowing before and I have printed dozens of this exact part with the exact settings. I just bought a second P1S and 6 new rolls of filament and I have yet to get a successful print off this new printer. The only thing different with the new printer is it has the AMS on it and it’s using a new batch of filament.

Orange Print shows first-layer issues.
Black print shows the top layer issues.

Try running the full calibration again.

Also it looks like you can see the infill through the print, do you have 1 top shell layer or something like that?

Thanks for the reply!

4 top and bottom. I’ve printed dozens of this model without issue before this. I believe the problem with the black filament is the filament. 6 rolls are all the same batch and two of 6 rolls tried so far are doing this. I’ve put the same roll on my other P1S and had the same issue. Tried printing the same part on the new machine with the PLA Basic that comes with the machine and it prints fine. I’m 99% certain this filament is the issue. Have one roll in the dryer now to be absolutely certain it’s dry and I’ll try again.
