First H2C print - two colors are purging on one right nozzle

Hey yall - doing my first MMU print on the H2C after getting it set up and calibrated. I have some screenshots below. I just have everything that came in the box from the standard combo sale + an HT. There are enough 0.4 standard nozzles, but for whatever reason, the tan and black are going to the same nozzle and purging every swap. I’m about halfway thru the print when I noticed the tan purging and decided to peek behind the printer. I figured it knew what it was doing since there was no purge column in the slicer results. What could I have done wrong? I’m going to let this print finish, but would love to know what to double check for the next print! Thanks.

Hi Angelica,

I’m not sure why it didn’t automatically assign the colors to different nozzles – it “should” have, at least typically. Which version of Studio are you using? And did you sync nozzle info with the printer before the final slice (big “Sync info” button at top left in Prepare/Preview tabs, although Studio will typically prompt for sync as well before slicing if it thinks it needs it)?

Ultimately, the mappings can be checked & adjusted in the final “send to printer” dialog. This is described here in the nozzle mapping section, with some screenshots: H2C Bambu Studio Operation Guide | Bambu Lab Wiki

I definitely check that before sending. But I’ve also had 2 “odd” instances where the set mappings ended up ignored, with the printer choosing a different nozzle from what I had specified (though still same size and flow type). I chalked it up to Studio and printer being out of sync, even though they should have been. Restarting Studio seemed to resolve the issue.

So I’d for sure check the final mappings next time to make sure they’re correct, and if the printer still doesn’t follow the mappings then there’s definitely a bug in there somewhere.

Cheers,

so I figured out what caused it - when i turned off the “nozzles and filament of the same type share the same PA profile” toggle, it made the colors map to the same nozzle. I turned it back on, and it separated them. I’ll keep a close eye on future prints. Thanks for the reply!

Good to hear, though that does seem like an “odd” reason for the issue. Possible bug for sure, if that’s the case. Please keep us updated…

Where did you find that setting? I am having the same issue and can’t find it.

Thanks
