First image real print without renders please!

This last months is a nightmare search models in maker world.

All is flooded with IA renders and the real model is a s**t.

There is no control with this, and in some time this is go to make the web with 95% crap models and a bad user experience…

There is plans to solve this or is a non stop fall?

No. MakerWorld - or rather, Bambu - wants AI. Take a look around the forum; this topic has definitely come up a hundred times over the years. I’ve picked out two examples from the many threads that have already been started on this topic.

And this may be what it takes for Bambu to act. The more users come here and get overwhelmed by the junk, the more Bambu might feel pressure to clean it out. At least one can hope.

But this all sets a bad precedent and doesn’t bode well for the future of places like this.

I also am not a fan of AI, however I don’t think it’s avoidable and I 100% agree it should not be in the primary model photo.

However from a designers perspective it is very hard to compete and get people attracted without an attractive main image. Personally graphic design and photography is not in my skillset but designing is. The value AI can create to add background, icons and colour correct photos is immense.

That being said AI altering the actual model is wildly frustrating, especially when it’s in full colour and the model upload is a single colour and poorly set settings. You likely won’t even notice until you’ve downloaded the model, by which time you have already given that creator credit for a download and they gain the associated credits.

I agree something should be done, but I feel AI can be a beneficial tool if used correctly. I would be lying if I said I haven’t used AI to add backgrounds or evaluate my post before I create it, but I look over it very carefully to make sure it isn’t embellishing or altering my model itself. If I need green grass in my photo, there is zero chance I’m getting that anywhere near my house  greenest thing you’ll find is weeds.

I agree, i use AI sometimes but in my first picture i post only the model, without any render or image modification.

If people like the model and enter can see the second image with the render for example.

Allow modified images in this world is the actual problem and i think the only solution is no allow it.

If allow only background changes and others non significant changes for the admins are imposible to control all and it’s a big job control this (because IA try to make models with print lines).
