First layer on right side of the bed not squished

Hello,

i wanted to print this, but i have a problem with the first layer not squishing on the right side of the print bed as it is on the left side.

The problem here is that on that side of the bed the layer aren’t sticking well to the bed.

Filament: PETG
Extrusion Temp: 230°
Bed Temp: 70°
Plate: Engineering Plate

What can i do to solve that?

Did you skip the bed leveling?

Did you move the build plate after the bed leveling?

Is there something (stray bits and fuzz) between the build plate and the heat bed?

Is your build plate clean - IPA or warm soap and water?

Cleaned with IPA and then applied the Bambu Glue Stick.

Hi Neolinux,

Can you straight edge that area in your bed to see if it’s has a low spot.

You can also check the Manual Bed Leveling

I run my petg for the first layer speeds at 35 and 55 infill and bed 75c and nozzle 255c to 280c depending on the petg color or if transparent.

If I’m doing 0.16 layer height I set my fist layer height to 0.20

If I’m doing 0.20 layer height I set my fist layer height to 0.24

I hope this helps you out.

Keep us updated :v:

I really like this test print to see how my bed leveling is working.

Is that a textured PEI build plate?

Try it with no glue after thorough cleaning.

It’s the engineering plate.

Without glue it doesent stick at all (cleaned with IPA).

That almost sounds like the bed is not hot enough.

If the above suggestions from the others don’t work, including upping your bed temp 5-10*, then I’d try a different brand of PETG.

Interesting

I print PETG on my cool plate with glue

No issues

When I print pet on my textured plate I still use glue for longevity of the buildplate and more as a releasing agent so it doesn’t remove any of the textured surface of the plate over time

It is understood that many users go with the engineering plate for pet but personally I only use it for TPU, CF, ASA and ABS

Everything else is the cool plate or the textured plate depending on whether I want a texttured bottom surface or a smooth one
