Hey all, been experiencing a pretty serious tearing issue on the first layer of any large prints I do.
^This is not my print, but this is exactly what it looks like.
I’ve throughly cleaned the plate (I’m using the textured PEI, the one p1p comes with), the bed is leveled via the software, I"m pretty confident with my filament settings/temps, so not sure what this is.
I’ve read a little on other forums that this is probably an adhesion issue, causing the filament to not stick and that’s why the nozzle is tearing it up? I’m super new so all I can think of is that the nozzle is too low, but that’s not something I know how to fix with a Bambu printer.
I’ve also read that overextruding the first layer can help with this, but I don’t know where to find that setting in Bambu Studio, if it’s even there.
PLOT TWIST:
On one of my prints I just let it keep going and finish, the bottom actually turned out fine but the nozzle tore the topmost horizontal layer as well. So that’s confusing because it’s apparently not just a first layer issue and I have no idea what it could be.
If anyone has any ideas I’d greatly appreciate it!
