I’m trying to use a .stl file that, as far as I can tell, is completely flat. However, Bambu Labs suggests that it has an overhang and that it should be printed with supports. Whether I enable supports or not, the print spaghettis and fails.
When I try to lie the model on a face, I see the supposedly flat base has many options for faces, so it’s apparently not flat as far as Bambu Studio is concerned. The model is flat in ZBrush, though.
What I’ve done to get around this is to cut a bottom 1mm of the model and delete it before slicing, but I would like to know what specifically I’m doing wrong as this might not always be a feasible fix.
Note: I’m not the original creator of the .stl file, but the creator informs me that it should be flat.
Ran into similar problem just now. Does not matter if i export 3mf or stl from Autodesk Fusion.
Object is flat on two sides, but for some reason slicer thinks there is 0.2mm offset.

Slicer Lay on face shows only single face.

Bambu studio actually wants to create supports on one side:

Fusion with hidden edges visible, no extra edges shown:

I had to make object two layers thicker on both sides and cut this amount with cut tool, to make it go flat on the bed.
Never seen such before.

It’s either you are stuck in the Matrix about to be offered an important choice or what @JonRaymond said.
