Can you run the flow calibration using the double-sided textured pei sheets? Im reading some conflicting information. Some say yes you can and others say to run the flow calibration on the cool plate/engineering plate first and then the print using the textured plate.
I have had no problems running the flow calibration on my double-sided textured pei sheet.
I’ve also seen conflicting info up until recently. However, as of the 01.06 firmware & 1.7.3.50 slicer/studio they made it a little more clear. The calibration on textured PEI sheets has improved but still might fail.
I’ll try to find where I read it, but they recommended running a “Flow Dynamics” and “Flow Rate” calibration for the filament on a smooth (cool/high-temp) plate first, and saving the values. This would ensure the best possible result from the LIDAR. Then, when printing to a textured plate, uncheck the “Flow Dynamics Calibration” checkbox to skip that and use the saved values.
Edit:
Firmware Release Notes combined with this tooltip (that I don’t remember seeing before):

I use it all the time on the gold textured plate without issues.
