For most multi-color prints, I’d like to simply switch materials and let whatever happens to be in the hot end extrude into my part until the old color fades to the new color. Is this possible? If so, how?
Thanks!

It is possible. Just change the flushing volumes to zero. Just ignore the red warning about it
Another way would be to flush into the infill where it is not visible.
Great, thanks so much. I did play with this but not enough I guess.
I’d keep an eye on it for the first color change. May not be enough in the layer infill and/or support if applicable. Flushing to zero, and a small purge block may be needed.
Just circling back on this and it seems like you need to enable the prime tower. I’ve never used a prime tower and see it just as a waste of filament. Is there any way to transfer directly from one filament to another without this option?
