The fact that there isn’t a tool or setting to easily make text flush with a printing surface is a real mistake. there are so many videos online trying to trick the software into printing text flush with a surface but most don’t work, or only work in older versions of the software. This is an oversight that bambu should correct. please give us an option to solve this because i need the feature more and more.
Converting the text object into a modifier object works for this.
Toggle Global to Object → Select and right click text object → Change type

Hi,
So this does not work. I have seen this explanation multiple times. there is no assembly button and there is no merge button either. So what else can you recommend. all of the text I change type to disappears into the larger object. It just doesn’t work.
OMG i realize now why this process wasn’t working. I colored the bottom of the object a different color than the rest of the block. so when i imbedded text into the bottom a .01 thickness and 1mm depth it all reverted to the color I set for the bottom of the object. I realized this when i made a primitive and followed the steps they worked! the only difference was that the primitive was NOT colored on the bottom. My solution was not elegant but it works. I cut the bottom of the object in half. I then assigned the color i wanted to it, I didn’t paint it. Then i imbedded the text and it all worked. JEEZ that was hard to figure out. My apologies for all the confusion.
Your method works. However You don’t seem to have to turn the text in to a modifier. It doesn’t seem to matter
Glad you found the issue.
Just be aware of a possible print failure puzzler when using text as a positive part rather than a modifier. If it is protruding by a tiny amount, it can lift the main object by this amount. Usually, the slicer will warn of overhanging regions but print failures have been reported for individual cases.

right! I always check the first layer to make sure its always on the floor. So the modifier ensures nothing protrudes past the main object right?
Yes. They only modify how the slicer treats the common volume. Filament is only one of many individual settings that can be applied, giving them many uses.
