Force sensors

I got my long awaited P1S this afternoon…

unfortunately I can not get it to print anything

the recurring error is: HMS_0300_0A00_0001_0002

this seems to have something to do with one of the force sensors on the print bed…

On the connectors under the heating bed I have checked.

the firmware is the newest one.

did anyone face similar problems or has any tipps?

Sorry for your situation. This can be a simple or complex problem.

  1. First, I would advise you to communicate the problem to BL technical support, and hopefully, you find the cause and solve it before their response.
  2. It may be just a bug as it is a new printer. It’s a long shot but easy and fast to verify.
    • unplug the printer power cable for, e.g. >30 sec, plug it in again and start it.
    • initiate the calibration process - is there any error?
    • if it continues, do a factory reset followed by calibration; if the error is still there, try to update the firmware, unplug the printer power cable, e.g.>30 sec, plug it in again, start it and perform calibration.
  3. Further options (simple) entail checking cables and connectors, but only if you are comfortable with the procedure.

See if you can manually raise and lower the bed with the print sheet off and then make sure the sheet is properly located in its guides.

To 1.: I have already opened a ticket at the technical support :slight_smile:

To 2: I have now reset the printer twice to factory settings. The initial calibration runs through each time without error message. As soon as I then let all axes to the home position, however, the error appears.
Also, it is not able to perform the print bed leveling (started via bambu studio).

the firmware is already the latest.

to 3.: I think I have already checked almost all possible plug connections -.-

I am sorry @elessar3141 but if the cables and connectors are fine, the screws properly tighten, and software/firmware is discarded, you may have some faulty sensor, cable or board.

When checking the screw for the first time, was it properly tighten or did require your intervention? Did you check if the sensor is adequately in place?

the two screws at the front were a bit loose… the sensors look and feel okay :man_shrugging:

They will… meanwhile you may start preparing the printer logs, make a short video showing the issue, and also the screws, sensors and cables assembly. (add your troubleticket number in the video background).

By the way, is the issue on the sensor that wasn’t loose?

That wiki page is incomplete and misleading, I think. Although making the end of the screw flush with the knob is the correct starting point, it does not necessarily make the bed level. Note their use of the word “Usually”: "Usaully (sp), the depth of the screw in the nut is shown in the middle of the picture below:

but i’m afraid it won’t do much good, otherwise he won’t even start the actual level process…

the bed shakes up and down a bit and then touches the nozzle a few times and then it breaks off…
the nozzle is above the center of the bed

Considering the error lists a potential “low” pressure on the bed, would you say the force that it is touching down on the bed is truly light? IMO, the Bambu printers have a pretty solid hit when touching down. I know its difficult for someone who has no relative experience, but I still feel like you may be able to answer that. It shouldn’t be a slam, but it should be a solid tapping.

If it is touching down solidly that would suggest to me that there may be a loose part in the chain (my first guess would be the sensor underneath the bed).

just as an small update: the support just send me the message that they are assuming, that the heatbed-sensor-cable is damaged and they will send me a new one… #fingercrossed

looks good so far :slight_smile: the heatbed-sensor-kabel arrieved today and at this moment the printer finished its first benchy <3
