How do,
Spotted my print quality has started to degrade after a few months use now and I think its time for a full service job.
Im use to taking apart a printer and doing this, but as this is still fairly new to me, does anyone here who has had an A1 since release or a good few months who has done a full service on their machine have any tips etc on what to look out for?
Im planning on doing all belts, cleaning fillament gear etc etc, just wondered if there is anything I could over look and miss.
In what ways are your prints degrading? Reason I ask is the printer may be performing well and your filament just picking up water.
I’m saying this not knowing if you already dry your filament or how you store it, but do know that over time filament can absorb water and that can also degrade prints. Worse, water effects can come and go with local weather patterns if you are on the edge and depending on what you print.
Ah its non of that, I have been 3Dprinting for 5years, A1 is still new and I like to hear from others who have owned one for a while now what they do
Full maintenance and belt tensions, tighten screws has solved 99% of the issues I was having. Im still getting jagged edges on thin parts though, need to look into that.
Also check the screws under where the nozzle sits. It’s 3 screws right under, remove these, and you’ll get to 4 more. These might need to be tightened.
