I printed a 1000+ layer model and saw this … ![]()
Funny. Haven’t seen it yet. Might be because I’ve stopped updating my firmware since January 16th, when the “security firmware patch” scandal erupted?!?
Yeah I think that came about when they updated the X1C’s firmware to be more in line with the H2D’s firmware.
Too bad for those that aren’t updating their firmware, as the newer UI is a little better. Most importantly, it gives useful values for the humidity in the AMS units.
For the new AMS units, perhaps that the new UI features (for reading humidity values) in combo with the H2D proves to be indeed useful. For the older AMS units however, I don’t think the new UI changes anything, as there’s nothing to be changed (no humidity sensors). Perhaps the new UI is a little better. Perhaps it might get even better on a later iteration. Perhaps not. I’m nevertheless content with how my printers operate, that i don’t have to give up my improvements, my 3rd party apps and devices, and most importantly, that I’m able to control and use my printers the way I see fit, without having to go through Bambu’s cloud or allowing them to controlthe manner in which I’m using my machines. Maybe I’m wrong, or maybe I’m not. Time (and other users’ shared experiences) will tell. For now, I’m content with how things worked out for me, haven’t had to face and deal with the many problems I’ve see posted on the forum with every new firmware update. That’s all that matters for now.
The AMS 1 actually gives valid humidity in the app, screen and slicer. Mine has been reading right in line with the hygrometer I installed in the AMS.
That’s quite the Proclamation there.
I have gotten a few times that it has printed of 4600 hours of printing. That’s around a full half of a year it was running. Thats pretty awesome.
Mine too, and I recently bought the new AMS HT.
A great addition to my arsenal …
What is missing is the extruder temperature when loading filament - old versions of firmware monitored that temp.
X1C printer
Firmware version - 01.10.00.00
AMS pro 2 firmware version 02.00.19.68
Just installed latest (it said) firmwares for printer and new AMS 2-pro yesterday ONLINE install. Could not install offline because old firmware was 01.02.08.00.
I’m still expecting the X1C firmware allowing offline update for the printer and AMS
announced for Q1 2026, so should come in the next month(s)
My printer is in a remote workshop, without internet access, so that’s the only way I can hope using the heating feature of the AMS2 pro I bought in november… ![]()
