G Code Path Beyond Boundary error

Hi,

I’ve just updated to the latest version of the slicer app. When I went to slice a print I’ve printed dozens of times it is now giving me an error - A G Code goes beyond plate boundaries. Largest dimension is 250mm. And as I said its printed dozens of times perfectly without through an error before.

Any ideas?

Just got the same error? It certainly looks as though the model fits on the build plate with plenty of room to spare?

If you check the path when slicing do you see anything out of the ordinary there? See this Github issue as it might be related. opening a model in bambu slicer reports a g-code path goes beyond plate boundaries · Issue #2256 · bambulab/BambuStudio · GitHub

Without knowing the model or any screenshots we can just guess

  1. the model is placed over the unprintable area in the front left, where the filament cutter pushes the lever

  2. the model fits over the printable area, but something like brim or skirt is enabled that would go over the edge of the bed. This happened to me recently and I was a bit surprised as in the past any brim just got clipped at the edge, not this time and I got this error

  3. it is very high and Z-hop is also set (and possibly high)

Thanks I did not think to check the travel path. It was the tower block, it was bigger in preview than prepare, so there was not enough room. Once I moved the tower block the g-code error went away.

I just had the same issue, and it ended up being the Prime Tower - looked fine when moving stuff around, but in Preview, you could see that the tower was over the line. I wish it auto-moved.
