I have a 3D model where I need to put a nut into.
Therefore I sliced the 3D model and set ‘Pause at height’ to a certain layer. So far no problem. My model is quite big and it takes some time until the pause layer is reached.
Now the question is:
Is it possible to get a notification if the pause layer is reached?
Best for me would be a notification by the app. So I can move over to my bambu printer and put in the nut.
If this is not possible may the printer can give a loud beep or any other sound?
If this is also not working is there any way to know at which printing time the pause layer is reached? So I can move over may one or two minutes before.
The quick and easy way is probably to look at the time prediction to the specified layer on the right side of the slicers preview and then set an alarm. May be somewhat off for multicolor prints if assumed change times are different from reality, but a quick look at the app should prevent an unneccesary trip to the printer.
If you add a “PAUSE at layer” in your model and print from Bambu Studio or Bambu Handy, you will be informed by the Bamabu Studio ap pAND Bambu Studio irrespective of which one started it.
If you print by SD CARD, this does not inform you to my knowledge as you need to monitor the printer yourself as yo initiated a manual process.
One of the few advantages of having your printer connected to BL cloud-based apps…
I would definitely want for the X1Plus team (if BL doesn’t want to do it) to come up with a patch that would allow for the X1 users to use camera and other internet only restricted options thru LAN as well. That would mean that X1 users would only have to connect to net to allow for BL software and firmware updates… and hopefully, even those updates could be, at a later stage, downloaded on, and installed from, the SD card.
