Hi, with the P1P coming out, I think it raises a few interesting ideas. I love the X1C, but it is a bit of a beast to move about and, as I mostly print PLA, an open frame may actually be better.
How much like the P1P can I make my X1C?
I know it probably sounds a bit mad wanting to effectively downgrade the machine, but one of the big selling points of the P1P is just how customisable it is.
Just to clarify, I’m blind, (sorry if that is getting repetitive), so I can’t see the images.
My hope is, I’ve already got a P1P, WITH LIDAR, hiding in my X1C’s skin. I’d love to get more cooling in there, a fan on the right wall, lighten her up for more portability and, hell, I’d like to give her a little more bling. Currently she looks awesome, but, we are tinkerers, makers and pretty poor we would be if we didn’t look at something and ask ourselves how to take it apart and put it back together in a different config.
