Get Real about Bambu Labs

No, i was advised not to by Bambu. At this point I’m letting them recommend fixes. As per their request the machine has destroyed 2 hot ends and scribed a line from frint to back on the textures plate. It’s virtually unusable until i replace minimum the hotend so I’ve left it alone for the last 4- days since it dug into the plate

Get an A1 mini. SOLUTION!

If anyone cares to read this. I thought the site wasn’t intended to be complaint heavy. At least the originator told us of a fix he tried and how he did it. A few others followed suit.

If you have a problem explain how you solved it. If you can’t solve something, ask the forum. If they don’t know complaining about fingers and other negative items does little good for the rest of us. Be happy you have 4,000hrs.

This topic is about fingers? Here we go again…

I could have warned you this post wouldnt go well here. Bambu forum is a different kind of animal than others. Most are extremely protective around here…until something doesnt go their way of course.

I agree with you because these dont need to fit in our pocket like all the other examples given here. If you want easier maintenance, check out qidi

Just wait until you need to replace the corner idlers.

These printers seem to be bulit very disposable. Meaning, after a few years, you throw them away and buy the next gen. I wouldnt expect long term support or backwards compatability. There isnt even backwards compatability with different revisions of parts for this gen. Things like 3 different revisions of heated beds for the same x1c that dont all play well with all revisions of boards. Replacing some parts becomes a puzzle that requires support to get involved. I doubt all revisions of all spare parts will always be available.

Do you have the option to have the printer serviced anywhere near by you?

Agree 100%. Maybe some users come from Bambu Lab…

So last night I took the advise and rolled back to the previous firmware and it prints flawlessly again. Wrote it out in the ticket and they want to know what errors I recieved after explaining everything worked perfectly. Crazy they never suggested that as it was my initial complaint. My only concern now is how do I ever update the firmware if it causes some kind of software issue, but at least it prints now. Gotta replace the hotend that bent from the sweep test file they sent and textured plate.

can anyone TLDR this novel?

We might see the emergence of “Bambu Lab Tune-Up” services offering full replacement of consumable parts for users who prefer not to handle maintenance themselves.

However, factoring in shipping and technician costs, the price of such a service could approach the cost of a new printer, making it potentially unviable. Perhaps walk-in shops in larger cities could offer a more feasible alternative.

More likely, though, printers in need of maintenance may flood the second-hand market, sold at a discount because they “stopped working right.” That’s when savvy technicians will step in, buying these machines cheaply and restoring them to working order.

It’s a novella called “The sadness of the big-fingered man.”

May I TLDR it with a picture?

Thanks for saving me the read!

@slatinmotogear, clearly your topic is failing because it is about fingers. Is there anything else that is a problem?

Can we keep this on topic please

You already got the money’s worth. Sell it. Enough people out there with tinkering background would love to get their hands, regardless of finger size, on it.

Finally we have pictures to work from. This changes everything.

It’s almost like you’ve got two thumbs there.

Clearly what’s needed is finger reduction surgery.

Serviceability is a serious design criteria and should be taken into account. But I have had those kind of issues already with my Prusa i3Mk2. Too much disassembly to change common wear out parts. And that is a really simple machine compared to the X1C(E). I just got the X1CE and I am dreading that something breaks down sometime because it is so (nicely) enclosed that I can’t even see / understand how everything works.
I believe that the factory has all kinds of jigs and other helping apparatus to assemble that printer in addition to small hands

Apparently OP has never worked on a Cummins diesel in a freightliner before. Both American made…
