Getting boost tokens

I see that getting boost tokens to give to model creators comes from successful prints. In most cases when I find a model on MW I download the model and modify it to suit my needs, but I don’t receive any boost tokens for this.

For example today I grabbed a holder for a specific tool, but modeled in some additional accessory holders. Could I have modeled the whole thing myself? sure, but I’d rather give back to the author who saved me the trouble. Do people get credit for downloads or is is just through the tokens now?

If you download a model, it goes towards their download score.

If you make changes to the profile it should still count. If you create a new profile unconnected to the one you downloaded it will not. The connection is broken.

You need to print at least two jobs, each one must take at least one hour (not two hours combined).

This and other things contribute towards you potentially being awarded a boost to hand out.

You will only get a maximum of one per week, temporarily you get two instead of one.

There are no guarantees though.

Do these jobs need to be MW prints? I’m in the midst of a project and know that I have printed upwards of two prints that are an hour plus in recent days. Saw something hilarious, tried to boost it, didn’t have any tokens, and that is what led me here.

Yes. In order to get boosts you need to print designs from other creators on MakerWorld.
