Try this article for a start: How to Dry Filament
Also if you have a dehumidifier that will help.
I have a “wärmeschublade” in my kitchen and can easily fit 2 filaments into each. Temps can be setup by mobile phone between 30 and 90 degrees. Duration and timer can also be setup to for example 4, 10 or 12 hours.
Fussy filaments get stored in one of these bags with an organza bag filled with this desiccant. PLA gets stored in the same vacuum bag, I may or may not vacuum it and don’t bother with the desiccant. I’ve left PLA out on an external spool holder for many months without apparent issues. Keep in mind it’s 37% RH in my room as I type so there’s that going for me.
I have my eye on the eibos easy dry, have not convinced myself yet to spend the money as so far I’ve been lucky with print quality. I like that it has a fan to remove the moist air and that the air is passed over the heater before it reaches the filament rather than just blowing into the box like a modded non fan dryer box does.
The only time you should worry about filament being dry, is if when you print you hear the moisture popping, or have excessive marks on the print from moisture, or if it’s a filament like nylon, that’s notorious for it. Don’t sweat it, you CAN make it too dry, then it’ll be brittle and just snap left and right.
I have a couple of filament dryers, then I usually leave them in the dryer. If I am going to store them I use the vacuum bags with a pack of silicone. I only do this though if I am going to store them for a long time.
I usually take them out of the dryer and put them right into the AMS. This keeps them good for awhile.
