I got a roll of the TPU for AMS that Bambu rolled out a week or so ago.
What is a functional/useable thing that is suited to TPU? Not some toy or trinket. I’m kind of at a loss.
Once my TPU arrives my idea is to use TPU in the inside layers of gridfinity trays to hold tools without rattling in drawers.
Another example I have seen is as shock absorbers in mechanical applications (specialized gears, stands, etc.).
While I haven’t seen how tactile it is, I would also like to use it for human interface areas on tools where grip is desired.
Shameless self promotion here, but this hammers are really useful for assembly printed parts. Hammers heads are made of TPU.

I loved making this as the eventual design was so brilliantly simple compared to the prototypes that I overthought.
It is also something you can use all the time and everywhere as well as beneficial to many.
With Christmas coming up this could be the main gift you give everyone. They don’t need computers, tablets, phones or watches, they need this.
If you need something of a more personal nature, something to aid your comfort whilst sitting on the porcelain throne, then I have a model for you that will give you years of additional lifespan to something that has been taking literal ■■■■ from you for years.
Mine have been in place for almost three years now and they are still holding up against a daily barrage of the worst a man can do.
