Gradient PLA printing different then regular PLA

I been using standard PLA from BL and leaving the setting as set. I then tried the PLA Gradient light blue/white, and it is not printing the same and the last print failed. It seem to be a lot more fluid/stringy.

First has anyone else experienced this? Have you used the gradient PLA and did it print the same a solid color PLA or did you have to make adjustments. What were the adjustments?

Well I am quite new at this 3D printing stuff…. My first thought is to lower the nozzle temp, which I did with out much luck, but by only 5 degrees.

So this is a large ask, but how do you proceed to troubleshoot filament problems? My initial though is to run ORCA slicer and I think it has built in test prints for speed temp etc. Has any one used these and do they work? Struggling to figure out what to do next at this point…. I plan to check youtube for troubleshooting hints any other help?

Good practice is to always dry and calibrate each roll when inserted in the AMS. Or even when it has been sitting unused for a while (dependant on filament type). Even new rolls. For some filaments or complex prints, that may need to be done before each print.

Calibration with Studio has been OK for me so far but Orca offers more.

Happy printing
