Guest Viewing with Permission Printing

I would like to grant guest access to my printer camera and countdown time, everything but only as a remote view with no access to stop or anything so that I can let my fiancé see what I’m printing on the app or let my kids but I don’t want them messing up the print but get notifications if the print has an error or if it’s done so they can remove it then I can send another or they can but it will first ask me if I’m okay with them printing the object and allow me to first see the object with either a 3d spin view with the object name or at least a photo or link to the page they got it in the app

Cam has requested this to be printed
View Object - Print Object
Here is a current photo of the build plate to see if it’s clean/okay to start

Also add a hide object and camera behind a passcode

Cam has requested to see what’s printing
Grant Access or Not for this Print

Great for gifts or “special” items

Seems like a useful feature, so they probably won’t add it.

You can probably do what you want with a third-party solution as demonstrated here: https://makerworld.com/en/models/56580-tp-link-tapo-c110-camera-lcd-mount-for-bambulab-p1#profileId-58566 with regular communication means on the side.

This camera solution worked well for me, but don’t expect a drastic improvement in quality from it (apart from the refresh rate). I used it before the camera for the P1S was accessible for LAN-only mode.
I had it set up in my local network with access to the camera with a simple link that I could put into VLC to view the feed in real-time from any pc in the network.
From what I remember, you can also use it like the Bambu Handy app and broadcast it from anywhere with a password system, which should handle your issue.
If you go this route, I recommend the Tapo C100 instead of the C110, which has, counterintuitively, better quality for 3d printing due to its fish-eye correction. (Note that removing the dust protection film makes a big difference in quality).

Bambu Lab doesn’t seem to be keen on allowing us access to the printer internals easily outside of official ways for “security” reasons. Look at how they handled the print farm softwares some time ago. I doubt they are going to make a new app variant just to view it without any major advantage, if anything they might do paying sub-accounts for the bambu handy app, so this 20e solution might be the way.

However, If you would use your relatives to monitor the print when you aren’t available, then they would ideally need to be able to stop/pause the print when needed if there is an issue, which comes closer to regular app/program.

Personally, I usually don’t ask relatives to monitor the print. I do it myself with remote-desktop programs like teamviewer, anydesk,… and contact my relatives near my printer when needed. I sometimes also ask them to remove the print after x hours, things like that. There might also be a remote-desktop view-only solution that you could use in conjunction with your relatives but then again you would need regular messaging options on the side.
