Why would you want your AMS on top of the printer?

If you need to do maintenance, and take te top cover off, the AMS has to be removed also.

The variable weight of 6 spools of filament has quite an impact on the eigenfrequency of the printer, and is constantly changing with the weight of the filament on top. Therefore the resonance calibration in the H2 series becomes less effective to even amplifying the resonance.

The only advantage I see is that the PTFE tube between AMS and printer could be a bit shorter.

The answer is limited space.

You might still consider to place it on a shelve mounted on the wall.
Unless your printer is free standing.
