H2C ASA "The Extruder is not extruding normally"

Hi,

Having issues printing ASA (Bambulab ASA filament). after two or more hours i get “The Extruder is not extruding normally". Currently waiting for idler arms since filament sensor died on right side so am using only left nozzle. i can print PLA or PETG just fine on the left nozzle but ASA stops after a while, i have also lowered Max volumetric speed to 10mms but the same thing happens.

PLA and PETG use the chamber cooling setting. ASA uses the chamber heating setting.

Something in the extruder assembly doesn’t like the heat. Run chamber heating long enough, the heat soaks in to whatever’s having problems and it stops working until it cools down again.

Could be a bad electronic component, could be a mechanical problem like a cracked solder joint someplace. Though I’d bet on this being a bad component in the extruder drive circuit.

I have no suggestions at all for how to troubleshoot it. BBL is going to have to tell you what they think is wrong and needs to be replaced. Open a ticket. :frowning:

thanks, that’s my conclusion also so far but hoped there is a quick setting I’m missing since the device is crippled for weeks already waiting for first issue spare part :frowning:
