My H2C has suddenly stopped recognizing the build plate. Get the “build plate does not match slicer” error message on prints. Cleaned cameras with no change. Anyone had this issue and found a solution?
are you using a third party build plate?
No standard Bambu plates which it has always recognized in past. Suddenly, it has lost its mind.
do you have the detection enabled?
Check if you changed by mistake your build plate on Bambu Studio
Problem with all build plates and both sides? All print files produce this issue?
Did you try to clean the camera?

Clean your camera with cotton swabs and 70% IPA. The lens will get dirty over time.
maybe look at the sensor/sign its probably obstructed (it was the case with mine yesterday a little filament was in front of it lol)
I appreciate the input from each of you. I will go through the list,
Using Bambu plates only; detection is enabled, thus the error; camera has been cleaned several times; have recalibrated using calibration plate; QR code is clean on plates; inspected camera closely with mirror and there it is clean with no obstructions. All great suggestions and exactly the advice I would give someone. The problem persists and here is the new piece, it is only doing it sporadically on the same plate. I never know when it will work and when it will error. Thinking my next step is a support ticket, but I dont have much hope there. Rather not turn detection off as that is just disabling a failsafe. As I said before, it has lost its mind and suddenly become psychotic.

Which camera did you clean?
It was a good time to clean, so cleaned all three.
I appreciate all the input I received regarding this issue. Thought I would close the loop on this one. To recap, my H2C suddenly stopped recognizing Bambu build plates. I did everything I could think of including your suggestions and it just wouldn’t recognize any plate. Then without further changes it became sporadic, sometimes it would, sometimes it would not. Then, the problem just disappeared. I have made no changes, no additional cleaning just continued to print with the error. What solved the problem, I have no clue, but at least for now, the problem is resolved.
Printing certain materials like PETG can sometimes create very thin whisps of filament that are so light that they can float through your printer. One or more could have landed on de camera and just blocked the area to read the code.
Because they are so light, a slight airstream could move it around and cause the erratic behavior.
It seems all guessing now, but at least it’s good to hear that your issue is resolved.
Afaik the live view camera is the one used for build plate detection, but either way, when the issue reappears a simple wipe with a dry cloth might resolve the issue.
