I submitted a ticket to get on the .50 beta the night before last and got put on the “3 business day” queue. I got notice this morning that the beta was available. I installed it, but need to wait until I get home from work to test it.
I did the same last night … I was told 3 days but don’t see it yet on the printer. BL should not call this a public beta, I feel it is a restricted distribution beta. Most companies who provide public betas don’t limit the audience… their attitude is the more testers the better… not sure how they pick their group of beta testers.. anyway, Hopefully I will see this shortly and can try and use my filament switch supported by this new code level.
Thanks for letting us know about your experiment/ project. Please keep us informed of your progress. I’ve tried to steer away from “Beta” versions and since my H2C’s software / firmware seems wobbly already, I don’t want to throw any more peculiarities at it yet.
But I like your idea so keep us informed.
I’m definitely frustrated. I had an H2D with the firmware that took advantage of all the new features in the H2C beta, and by upgrading, I lost everything.
I’m really looking forward to getting the in-process drying and air filtration back. I’m also waiting for the Filament Track Switch to work; it was included but not usable.
Come on, Bambu, an open beta should be open ![]()
Because it’s never been an open beta but a public beta.
Hmm… is there a difference? I looked it up online to be sure, and there isn’t one ![]()
If you just want to be unpleasant, there’s no need.
I think in the case of bambu policy there is a big difference. Bambu makes it available to the public but by batches to limit liability. Most companies states for « open » beta that it’s available to everyone but it may result in malfunctions, damages etc so you install it at your own risk. Bambu states something very different as it says that if anything happens using the beta it will fix it. Due to this I can understand it’s released in steps.
Yes, I have no problem with the phased approach; it’s a rather serious approach when you’re doing a beta. What I find unfortunate is announcing it as public when it’s restricted.
How the ■■■■ were you able to get it after submitting a ticket not too long ago and yet everyone else who submitted a ticket has to wait?
What is this favoritism?
Man, that’s wicked sharp bend…Surprised it’s working for you.
Come on dude, do you really NEED a FTS to immediately begin working? What did you do for all the time before the FTS existed?
Please note that the beta testing period will continue for a few more days.
The plan was to release the firmware this week, but our team has identified a few more issues and they are working on solving them as soon as possible.
The Beta Testing pool has also been increased, with more users being able to receive the beta.
We apologize for the delay, but we want to ensure the firmware quality is good before the final release is made public.
If you find specific issues, bugs, or suggestion for improvement, we would appreciate it if you can share it via the Beta Feedback form.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Hallo,
Hello,
I noticed the following two issues with the beta:
Motion Accuracy Calibration
During the calibration, I received a message saying that the Vision Encoder Plate was tilted/not level. I repositioned it very carefully so that it was sitting flat and properly aligned, but the system still did not recognize it. The same error kept appearing, saying that the plate was not level.
After restarting the H2C, the plate was then recognized as level, and the calibration could be completed.
High-Precision Nozzle Offset Calibration
Since performing this calibration, the part cooling fan has been running permanently at 100%, even during the first layer, although it is set to 0%. The part cooling fan also runs at 100% during print preparation and during the calibration before printing.
I print about 95% of the time only with the Vortex nozzle. I currently only use the left nozzle for printing supports. Since running the High-Precision Nozzle Offset Calibration, the left nozzle heats up to 140°C and stays at that temperature for the entire print, even though it is not being used at all.
Is this happening for you as well?
I know it’s a little off topic, however I I have also bought the filament track switch for my H2C. Should be arriving tomorrow. However, the tube guides dont work for me due to my AMS being in a stacker and each tray that holds the AMS, has a 10mm lip at the rear. This means the tube guides wont sit flush. Unfortunately, I dont really know how to adjust something like that in Blender or any other software. Has anyone seen any tube guide alternatives?
Tube guides are there to make sure the PTFE tubes do not have too harsh of a bend. You do not have to install them for track switch to work. Just make sure PTFE tubes have gradual bends. In the end, just install it with this in mind and test it. If it works good. If not, change your setup.
Thank you for the reply.
Unfortunately it’s a little easier said than done. In my current setup, I dont have the guides, however the reason I want to use them is that my 2x stackers sit under my H2C. My filament feeds upwards. It was an absolute mission to get it to work even with slight bends in the PTFE tubes due the distance the filament travel along with constantly getting resistance errors. I have now straightened out multiple 3m PTFE tubes with next to no bend. This is why I would like to try the guides. To keep it all as straight as possible, with next to no resistance.
I don’t even use the guide, my AMS 2 pro output PTFE is somewhat push against the printer side and twist in 3 turns. Not really an issue, just make sure the bend is enough for the filament to push through.
Printer will throw error if it is too much and probably feeding issue. If it works, it works. Trial and Error.
