today i updated my H2C to Firmware 01.01.05.00. After that was done i did a full reset followed by the default (bed level etc) + hotend rack calibration. Everything went fine.
I then started the high precision nozzle offset calibration. I tried it two times, both times it failed with a “the extrusion motor is overloaded” error on the left nozzle. This only happend when the left nozzle started printing the pattern for the calibration. During the initial filament purge everything was fine.
The printer tried to print the pattern but there was no clear line and it then stopped with the error.
Since the printer was running fine before the update, i did a rollback, reset and another full calibration. This time the high precision nozzle offset calibration was running completely fine again. During the tries i did not change one thing regarding the hardware - the only change was the firmware version.
I already openend a ticket but wanted to see if anyone ran into the same problem.
I tried another update today. This time without a reset - just another full calibration. During this try everything went fine.
What i noticed and what i found strange.
When i started the high precision nozzle offset calibration i had 0.4 Nozzle on the left and right. Then printer then actively choose to switch the 0.4 on the right to a 0.6 and did the calibration with that one.
So the printer used a 0.4 and a 0.6 in the same print. not sure if that really counts as “in the same print” since the printed objects are just next to each other. No idea why the printer did that instead of using the same nozzle size. Maybe this is kind of a preparation for using different nozzle sizes in the same print or its just a bug or something like this.
I also noticed that behaviour during the first two failed tries. But there i thought it was the hotend rack calibration i did right before the high precision nozzle offset calibration. Since the 0.6 nozzle is the last one in my rack it was used last. But this time i did not do the hotend rack calibration and i had a 0.4 nozzle loaded already.
