H2C Left nozzle detection prompt via Bambu Studio

Hi,

yesterday I swapped a left nozzle on my H2C (0.4 HF → 0.6) and left to send a printjob remotely later that day. After changing the nozzle I forgot to prompt the printer to read nozzle info to update it. Later I realized this when I prepared the printjob in Bambu Studio and went to send it. Of course it would not let me, because the printer still thought it had the 0.4 HF installed. I looked everywhere in Studio and Handy and wasn’t able to find a way to tell the printer to check what nozzle it has installed (Printer Parts menu does not allow it since it has to be changed on the printer).

Luckily I was able to start a history printjob with 0.4 HF nozzle set to let the printer realize what nozzle it actually had.

My request is - please allow us to tell the printer to check the nozzle installed via Studio or Handy. I understand that on P1S etc. it has to be set manually, since there is no way to check installed nozzle type remotely. But since detection on H2C (H2 in general) is automated, why not let the user prompt the printer to do so without having to find alternative ways to do so.

Thank you.

I believe you can do that with handy, go to Devices > Printer View All>Nozzle and Extruder More> Horend Rack > Read All

Good luck!

Sadly, “Read all” feature reads info about nozzles in the nozzle rack, check of the left nozzle is not performed.

I was sure this was available on my H2D prior to H2C upgrade and sure enough, it has been implemented since v. 2.3.1 in October (unless it was removed afterwards) so I guess H2C will get it as well. Time will tell…

H2C is now way behind H2D in firmware and BS improvements, very strange for a flagship model!

H2D/H2D Pro remote nozzle identification

In Device→Printer Parts, click Refresh to trigger remote automatic identification of nozzle information for H2D/H2D Pro.The printer will move briefly during detection. Please wait about 30s for nozzle information to update.

Awesome! Thank you for the info! I will wait for H2C update then and hope it will be there.
