So I just got a reply from support and they want to send a new Eddy sensor. May be the cause? Mechanically everything seems good and bed is leveled (they had me tram it afterall). Will be interesting if that fixes it.
Wish the H2C had diagnostics built in like the X1C has.
I actually just bought a dial indicator and it arrived this morning! I’m going to do this today or tomorrow. Thanks for posting that.
Support replied this morning as well and they want to send me a new eddy sensor, I had to buy some filament anyways so I just purchased one. Maybe they’ll send another and I’ll have a backup. I thought the purchased one would probably get here quicker so it was worth the $10.
Which bracket did you use for your dial indicator? It looks like you are using the tramming gcode, the mounting bracket I saw says it’s incompatible with that. If you found one that does work with it I’d prefer to go that route
To clarify, I meant the indicator I used in my video. A rather old but high quality analog one. I don’t know how it will work with yours; if you can use the factory gcode or if you need the custom one in the link.
But it does make the tramming process a whole lot easier and accurate. I also heat my plate to 100C to do it…be careful if you do.
The last thing to point out is I noticed that I had to do a high temp bed level, run a few prints/heat cycles, and then run the high temp bed level again. I guess there was some thermal settling. Weird.
Finally got it solved, replacing the left eddy sensor resolved the issue. Hope this helps someone in the future.
Replacing that sensor was a chore but not too bad, maybe 2 hours but I took my time and photographed/recorded most of it. Lots of small wires and connections.
I am having similar issues, but it is only on one part of the plate, I printed a single layer and I notice a big difference in line width as well, anyone know a cause?
