H2C OrcaSlicer Teaser

Work in progress, but its coming. I built a version this morning and so far so good.

Credit to the OrcaSlicer project/team for the base slicer, @dmitrii-galantsev for PR #13409 “BBL H2C support” / add_h2c branch, and the earlier H2C wor@neo-jayfeather by @neo-jayfeather@dneveraand @dnevera that the PR author credited.

THANK YOU!!!

I have to ask, because I know Orca can handle multiple nozzle sizes in a single print…is there any chance this will be enabled for the H2C?

Good Question. There’s always a chance.

This is what makes me laugh, you mention it on here about bambu studio implementation of this and the reaction is like trying to get a hamster to make you a sandwich.

When clearly it is very much possible!

Is it idling the temp on the unused nozzle when printing multi nozzle prints? I know it’s not doing so for the H2D at the moment.

Looking forward to this, great work! I very much miss “Make overhangs printable” feature that is lacking in BS.

Printing PETG @245. the unused nozzle gets set to 205 while not being used. this is just a small 2 color test print, so i don’t know if it would get set to a lower temp if not needed for a longer period of time. hope this helps.

The pic below is after nozzle change. The left nozzle is at 222 and on its way down to 205

Nice, do both nozzles stay at print temperature on first layer? So far the H2D fix is lacking. If doing a print that uses both nozzles, both nozzles are at print temperature for the entire first layer. If this is corrected for the C I’m hoping it carries over to the D.

Could not connect to my H2C in LAN mode and DEV enabled

Heck yeah, this is one of my favorite settings for dealing with “other peoples designs” that may be a little subpar

ok,

It works on Windows, but cannot connect from MacOS

I’d recommend posting in the orca discord if you’re having problems or questions. It’s working for me on windows, but still work in progress.
