H2C Other Build Plates

For 95A I have no issues with OEM PEI plate, comes right off. Its only 90A that sticks too much, but like I said on the new engineering plate no problems. I dont like glue either and only use my nano polymer for nylon or other extreme cases. But with the Glacier plate on H2D I had no need for glue with nylon either. Im doing a PAHT + ABS supports print on the engineering plate right now with no adhesive and seems to be working perfectly. This new engineering plate is different than the old one, seems to be very similar to the Glacier, ill post after this print how the adhesion is.

Definitely interested in the results.

The adhesion is really good for both ABS and PAHT. The PAHT is a very thin wall on that model, one line wide and it tends to curl up after the first layer on most plates. Only on the Glacier I had no issues and this engineering plate is performing similarly. Will let you know how the adhesion is when its time to remove it tomorrow, the extrusion priming line had very good adhesion when I removed it. If it keeps working this well I might skip the Glacier for the H2C. Will have to try PPA and PPS on it.

Well it stuck really well until the end and popped off after i let it cool and flexed the plate. If the grips does not diminish with time, I wont be buying the Glacier. This new engineering plate works great with PA and TPU, my main uses for the Glacier.

Well, found this on Amazon today. Says it’s for the H2C. Anyone got the actual build plate measurements?

I’m guessing it’s another glacier knockoff considering it’s tpu compatible. Was kind of hoping it was a polyurea plate.

Just a smooth PEI plate in blue color if the text is correct. Perhaps it has some kind of coating as well.

I bought the engineering plate, i don’t trust bambu but i trust you XD

Has anyone had a chance to try out the new SuperTack Pro yet?

I had the Frostbite, Glacier, Darkmoon CFX and Satin for the X1C, and now I’m looking for a replacement.

I wanted to get the Bambulab Engineering Plate and the new SuperTack Pro, hoping that they would cover what I had before.

For nylon I wanted to get the Princore plate.
According to the video, it looks pretty good for that.

Just got it today. It feels quite weird to touch, feels quite different from the previous gen on hand.

I ordered one this week so will post my findings once i’ve done some prints.

It will actually be my first ever non oem/pei plate to looking forward to a bit of a change.

I wonder if the new formulation will be like those orange plates they just released. I got one of those for my x1 and it’s wayyy different than their standard frostbite. It’s got a flat (no shine) appearance and the texture is more along the lines of what the glacier provides. It almost feels like a supertack plate too when touching it.

Yeah I think the Kdeavi will be out before the Frostbite. I will order the one that is available first. I would get the Supertack, but the no ABS makes it a no go for me.

I LOVED my frostbite plate on the X1C! It worked great for every filament I used: PLA, PLA-CF, PLA-Wood, PLA-Cu, PLA-SS, PETG, PCTG, and TPU. (I don’t print in ABS or ASA)

When my H2C arrived, I tried the Bambu Textured PEI plate it came with and I was quickly disappointed when I had adhesion issues, even with large brims and careful temperature controls.

I went on Amazon and bought the biggest frostbite plate the H2C bed could handle which turned out to the be the 310x315mm for $50. Immediately, all of my adhesion issues went away. I placed the Frostbite plate in the front right corner and just avoided printing in the back or on the left. I did lose out on auto-bed leveling for a little while, but then I realized that I was never going to print on the Bambu Textured PEI Plate, so why not cut it and use it as a spacer?

You could have bought an H2D plate and cut off 10mm from each side to make it fit. How did you cut the plate?

i had the supertack for the a1 mini since a half year and never used it … always had the geco on it… two days ago i got the supertack for the h2c…

sure it needs a lil bit more heat but i personally like it so far def sticks better than the normal pei plate from sticking i cant tell a difference to the geco plate…

only thing i worry about is the supertack plate is kind of rough on the surface wich gives me the feeling it easily scratches with the scrapper…

i will see after a few prints…

def want to get a geco for tpu too if it comes out

I’ve had a Princore Extreme for quite some time. A while ago, I bought a 30x30 cm plate and then milled it for P1S. Then I stuck a magnetic sheet under the plate and it holds rock solid.
However, I’m not convinced by this part. I don’t find the finish very attractive, and I get better adhesion with nanopolymer, regardless of which plate I choose. I tested PA6, PA66, and a compound of both (all without CF/GF).

the new super tack for the h2c arrived today, have to say that I love the surface finish, even more than the glacier which has been my preference on the h2d
