Seeing as how the H2D version of this topic was pretty successful, I’m going to start this one for the H2C build plates.
Anyone have any leads on aftermarket build plates being produced for the H2C yet? I’ve seen a few regular textured pei plates on Ali but no cold/plu/polyurea plates yet. Darkmoon has the Ice listed but not in stock yet.
I spoke to Kdeavi and they should have it out in the next couple of weeks. Will post here when it or any other ones are available.

I’m interested in the engineering plate. Judging by the pictures, it kind of looks like it’s just bambu’s version of the cryogrip glacier. I may grab one eventually, but I want to wait to see some real world use and pictures of it.

Cool Plate: supports printing up to 120℃
Engineering Plate: supports printing up to 120℃
High Temp Plate with PEI material: supports printing up to 200℃

They have been working on a high temp printer:
450-500c hot end
180-200c bed
90-150c chamber

I get analysis paralysis everytime when looking for new build plates. I end up spending ages looking into which one to get and get overwhelmed by all the options and then just shut down the tabs and stick to my tried and tested pei that came with the H2S and h2c.
My main prints are - pla and abs (abs gf a lot) , occasionally petg.
I’m wanting something that doesn’t give the textured finish at the bottom so I can offer that choice to people when they ask for a smooth finish underneath. But I need it to work with abs and pla and not require glue (if possible)
I can honestly say too in thousands of hours of printing I have never had over 5 or so bed adhesion issues so I’m not concerned with needing anything that sticks more if you get me.
Ideally one for each printer if possible.
What would people recommend?
Have not tested it yet but did get one yesterday its the new cool plate pro for the h2c i normally use that mostly to get a nice bottom. Ill probably try to print something in the next 24hours on it.
Let us know how it goes. I’ve been curious about the new supertack pro. I’ve only seen one review on it and they said the prints were impossible to remove lol. They probably used an incompatible filament.
I got the new engineering plate and it leaves a very similar bottom texture to Glacier, matte and smooth. Works great for 90A and softer TPUs, on the textured PEI plate 90A was sticking too much without glue as release layer. Also works well for PLA items that have a flat contact area without glue. I will try PETG, ABS and nylon without glue and report back.

Have you ever tried to apply a couple of drops IPA around the periphery after the print to remove the TPU?
The capillary effect pulls the IPA between the part and the plate. You just pick it of the plate without any problems.
Definitely no glue or other release layer required.
No have not tried that. I usually print my TPUs on an aftermarket (cheap) textured PEI plate that dont have a coating like the OEM one. No problems with TPU sticking too well on those, just have not purchased one yet.
Personally I hate glue and other stuff that needs to be applied to the build plate.
It’s messy and requires you to wash your plate regularly.
In the past it usually required a lot of force to remove TPU until I read a tip here on the community to use IPA to release it.
Works great on smooth and textured plates.
It’s definitely worth a try, given that your plate has no issues with IPA.
