H2D AMS and fillament layout

Does anyone have any feedback or ideas regarding my filament set-up and extruder mapping as outlined in the first post? Discussing molecular sieve sure is fun, but i am also interested in your thoughts on AMS-HT vs additional AMS 2 PRO for the left extruder, as well ■■■ filament mapping for best combination of non-abrasive to high flow nozzle and abrasives to carbide nozzle while they also double as support combinations.

Hook it up however you think it’ll work best based on your printing.

The goal is to have both nozzles working in a multicolor print, and colors distributed in a way that reduces the need to do filament changes. In a two color print, one nozzle should get each color. In a three color print, one nozzle should get the predominant color, the other two should go to the other nozzle.

You can use Filament Saving Mode in Bambu studio to suggest the right filament allocation.

If you’re often finding the two filaments you need for a print are both on the same FTS input, make a change.

There is no right answer here because it’s ultimately down to your personal print habits.

Exactly, I think filament / AMS distribution is a very personal decision.

If you want maximum flexibility, I would recommend one of those:

I have skipped the official filament track switch due to the mixed feedback and it is less flexible than the manual switch in allocating multiple AMS.
