You can buy the buffer by itself.
Jeffrey T, I donât read it that way, check with Bambu directly.
Ah, found it.
Mine appears to be 2.5mm, not 2.1mm.
Just spent way too long looking at the ones I could find on Amazon, didnât run across any UL certified ones under $20.
There was one at $20 that wasnât UL certified but otherwise looked legit, interestingly it was GaN. All of the other <$20 ones looked sketchy to my untrained eyes.
the link ive put is 2.5 i dont see why it would be an issue with the certification⌠those kind of supplies are well designed and shouldnt be an issue in any way imo. you can always get some from other source such as local shops
you could use one huge power supply and just add fuses, then route everywire to the place needed then you would only use one power cable
Since UL isnât required in the US, but CE is required in Europe, alot of products get made with CE requirements. Youâll see UL more on stuff made specifically for US markets.
Looking at the official Bambu, it lists CE.
Thatâs OK too, you do you!
Just to clarify for others, UL means tested in a UL approved lab. CE just means (for most products) that a product meets a set of specifications.
Has someone already found a working third party AMS 2 power supply in the german amazon store?
Just need to find a standard barrel adapter (5.5mm/2.1mm) w/ Center Positive, and outputs 24V/4A (or greater).
Edit: Unsure with the 2.1/2.5, but looking at this item, it looks like a perfect match. Not sure the price (wonât show me without putting in a German address)

Awesome, thank yoo very much!
Perhaps use a barrel jack adapter with a power supply you already have rather than risk a wun hung lo (Dave Jones official term for such things). Then again, such things usually arenât rated, so back to square one, unless a use at own risk.
Seems awfully old school. Itâs 2025. Usb pd 3.1 would have made more sense than another mystery plug. It could supply 24v up to 5a. Argh, whatever. Unless maybe there are rated adapters for such things?
I ordered several chinese no-name power supplies on amazon but always knew that it was a gamble. Some still work fine to this day, some were DOA, some only lasted for a while. Some were certified, some were not but I never trust this on a no name item anyway. If you look at the reviews from some of the buyers, youâll find some horror stories. I only buy when the savings are worth the risk. I would not when itâs $/âŹ30 from bambulab and $/âŹ20/25 on amazon, especially if youâre in the US and the power supply comes from China and not shipped by amazon.
Also you often read in the reviews that the power output is not as listedâŚ
Did it work for you with another power supply?
