Only $13 each on Amazon! I’ve been swindled!

I’d go for this one, over those, I think.

I like having the removable outlet side cable. Bambu’s looks like it’s that way too.

Uggh, just too many of these stupid power bricks in my life.

Only $18.99 on Amazon! I’ve been swindled slightly less!

No swindle. It’s because of the Monopoly Money used north of the boarder.

Edit: When I used the first link (.CA), I had to prove I wasn’t a robot or something. It put my location somewhere in nowonderland.

Why does someone need a replacement power supply for something that hasn’t shipped yet? What am I missing?

It’s complicated. The AMS 2 Pro doesn’t come with one. If you hook it up to the original printers and you don’t need the drying function it can get power through the 6 pin cord, but if you want to use the dryer it needs it’s own power cord. If you connect ONE to an H2D it can get power through the 6 pin but if you connect two the second one needs a power cable. I THINK that’s how it all works.

It makes sense to leave out the power cord when you buy the combo, but when you buy the AMS 2 Pro, makes no sense at all to not include the power cord.

Especially not since they do include one with the AMS HT, even though you have to check the FAQ on that page. It’s not listed under “What’s in the box”.

It really should be included…

They aren’t going to include it if it’s not always required.

Someone (me) didn’t look into it enough before ordering. So I’ll just order the power supply in April when the firmware for the P1S comes out.

Unless the cheaper options like the one above work.

I’m guessing the HT can’t be powered directly by the H2D? Which is what it’s says in the FAQs.

Do we know what the plug will look like in the AMS2 yet?

Mine came yesterday. It’s 5.5mm OD and I’m not sure about the ID. See pics

ugh, I just read this here:

For H2D Printer:

1. Connecting a Single AMS 2 Pro:

  • A single AMS 2 Pro can be powered and dried by the H2D printer directly, no additional Switching Adapter is required.

2. Connecting multiple AMS 2 Pro units together:

  • If the drying function is enabled for multiple units, each AMS 2 Pro requires its own Switching Adapter.
  • Even if only one unit is drying, the system power may automatically reduce, leading to insufficient drying. It is recommended to use a power adapter to ensure optimal drying performance.

I ordered a 2nd AMS2Pro to go with my H2D Combo but only ordered One extra DC Adapter. I guess I need one for each AMS2Pro according to this. (Assuming I might want to enable the drying function on both AMS2Pro)

Not only that but you can’t buy just the buffer, you have to get the kit with the power supply and buffer. I just ordered mine because I didn’t when I ordered the AMS 2.

Oh I missed that point about the power being reduced - that is disappointing - you’d think the combo is a complete and functional package. I’m in the same boat - extra AMS 2 PRO and ordered only one extra power supply…
