H2d and aero pla in the lead screws

For some reason the h2d lead screws love to grab the ooz wisps and purges of Bambu aero PLA. They get everywhere. I have 2 x1c and while they do wisp off some remnants the h2d clean and wipe does not do as well as them for Aero. Quality of the print is very good though overall and same if not better.

The problem came when those wisps wrapped the lead screws and became embedded and eventually bound up in them enough to affect z banding at a certain height on several of the same print which was a tall model, straight up with the same layer over and over so it was really obvious.

I cleaned and relubed the lead screws and the rear lead screw is machined rough and grabs the wipes I use to normally clean the x1c lead screws leaving lint that is tough to remove.

do yourself a favor and check for errant foaming pla in your lead screws if you run similar projects as me.

I haven’t gotten my H2D yet, but I’ve been wrestling with ASA Aero—and let me tell you, it’s like trying to tame a caffeinated octopus! I never seem to squeeze out a truly flawless print. If you’ve got any secret ninja moves for it, lay ’em on me—I’m all ears!

As for that mysterious filament flicker, I haven’t seen it in the “usual suspect” area of the printer, but ASA Aero confetti seems to be popping up everywhere else. Foaming filaments really are a royal pain to print, in my experience at least!
