H2D - Anyone printed to max height

We print to 325mm on the K2, has anyone printed same on the H2D ?
Is it 325mm plus nozzle or does the H2D only print to 325mm less nozzle ?

You can play around with the slicer and see what it will let you do, even without having an H2D.

Good point, except I downgraded to last of Studio 1 series as V2 has far to many bugs, especial on filament parameters (selected to printed.)
I can’t select H2D on Series 1 studio

There is the option of using V2 as a portable version.

Tallest I’ve printed is 300 mm. The slicer will limit you to 325.

I still recommend playing around with your specific scenario in the slicer.

The answer isn’t as straightforward as “the vertical limit is 325mm”.

Please see this document for more details: Introduction to the printable range of H2D dual nozzles | Bambu Lab Wiki

Summary: The vertical limit may be 320mm if the left nozzle is needed.

Thank you all for that. That is exactly what I wanted.

Cheers

I’ve done a 325 single nozzle print. Just to confirm.

Thank you. Most interesting. Trust you had no stability issues and that the nozzle was able to withdraw without knocking model over.
Hopefully bed drops that bit extra to alleviate issues.

The better question is, has anyone printed longer than 2 hours without any issues? if yes, maybe its possible anyone has printed to the max

:grinning:

My prints are to 325mm - take 5 hrs on a K2.

I am waiting a couple of months and then will purchase a couple of H2Ds for the farm. Hopefully the issues will be sorted and as is the norm become a very reliable machine.

I printed this tall poop bucket. Had to tilt it cause it was too tall. Printed perfectly.

Also printed probably 30 other things that were more than 2 hours. Very nearly all prints came out perfect.

Did have one adhesion issue due to petg warping which I solved by tweaking the fan settings to keep the chamber hotter.

Model was not knocked over. It was a double walled pipe with a .8 nozzle, transparent petg.

I’ve had a problem with a very tall skinny model getting knocked over that I’ve documented here but I don’t think it is really the fault of the H2D and more of me learning the limits of it.

I finished a 6,5 hour multicolor-print with 153 filament changes with only 1 error (cannot cut left filament but I continued remotely). Everything worked like charm.
