anyone else getting this? Filament cutter related perhaps…?
I haven’t heard the clicking noise—do you know if the right nozzle makes it too?
it is doing a 2-colour print now, and when it prints on the right nozzle the noise pretty much goes away. the nozzles do have different speed and accel. settings, the right actually has faster.
perhaps something to do with the extruder?
Remove the silicone sock and check if the left nozzle tip is loose. If everything looks fine, try running a small test print with retractions disabled (set to zero in the filament settings override). This will help us pinpoint the source of the noise. Keep us posted.
i’ll do that once this print ends.
recorded another video with both nozzles printing.
right nozzle infill printing starts at 1:15
It sounds like the clicking noise is coming only from the left nozzle. If the nozzle tip is firmly in place, try cleaning it with cleaning filament or doing a cold pull. Alternatively, you could test with the backup nozzle. Once done, run the test again. Keep us posted.
The nozzle is firmly in place. Tried printing with the replacement too, but the clicking is still there. Setting retraction to zero did not solve it either.
Inspect all the screws located behind the left nozzle for the heater and rail to ensure they are not loose, and verify that there is no excessive movement play in the lifting rail.
Given that it’s only when printing with the left nozzle, check the position of the flow blocker to ensure it’s snuggly on the right nozzle. Also check where the magnets are. Could it be a miniscule gap at either the nozzle or the magnet that’s causing the rattling? *someone else had the magnet cover pop off
ever found a solution? mine started making the same noise when the toolhead moves to the left… the sound is there on both noozles so i doubt its from the toolhead… .i rather think its pulleys or belt…
Do you guys think that sound can come from the middle extruder gear?, like filament skiping teeths
today inspected it a lil bit more… i dont think it has to do with extruding the filament… .but im not sure…
the sound i have is exactly the same sound from the video…
it def has to do with speed…
when the print head is moving fast… its rattling /clicking… mostly when it moves on the x axis…
i tried to move the head while the printer was turned off… so ther was no extruding…
i some how was able to recreate the sound by moving the toolhead left and right … i can hear a clciking sound… the faster i go the more i hear it…
i made a ticket but got no response yet…
i also got the feeling when printing parts where there are alot of dots or single short extrusions its the loudest… basically when the printer is shaking- the toolhead is shaking and it sounds like something inside toolhead is shaking…
i removed the noozles but saw nothing… im scared to do more on the printhead u need a diploma for it…
My H2D makes the same noise since yesterday
My printer started making this noise on i found there are 2 exposed gears on the rear of the machine. Left&right you can see them through a oval shaped cut out. I sprayed gun oil on mine and its gone. Hope this helps😁
i’ve sprayed some contact cleaner into those slots … theyre the gearings of the rear belt pulleys, and doing so fixes another noise the printers make, the sort of screeching / scraping noise. dont recall it having effect on the clicking noises on my device.
Did you find a solution for this? My printer started making this noise a couple days ago…
is this petg u printing? i noticed this with petg today its doing exactly the same as yours… never had it before like that…
try re-running the nozzle heigh calibration. the nozzle itself may be colliding with already printed material because it is lower than the printer expects.
Has anyone found a solution? I’m in the same situation.
