H2D extrusion issue. Tried everything, help

I used to print PETG perfectly. Now all sudden I get clumps everywhere, especially during first layer. To me, the first layer appears to be under extrusion but i’m not sure.

Here is the printer on first layer and doing an ironing calibration. The ironing seems like its smearing the filament everywhere.

I tried full calibration, and i tried resetting to factory default didn’t help. I swapped out new nozzles and swapped new pei plate.

My p1s still working flawlessly but this h2d has lots of problems.

You didn’t mention it, so I’m going to ask. Did you dry the filament? If so, what temp and how long? Looks like moist filament to me but I could be wrong.

Yes its been dried. 12 hrs using AMS2. Also, I took the filament out and put it in my P1S and it prints perfectly. Same blue filament from p1s

Gonna try PLA same print to see if that works. While doing that, going to set my other AMS to dry again, see if moisture is an issue.

Just took that black PETG filament out snd put it in p1s. First layer looks perfect.

I really dont think it’s moisture.

Any other ideas?

Guess you nailed it… The print with the black filament on P1S ended up messing up at the ironing stage too.. So opened a brand new fialemnt package to test it out, and the new PETG filament printed perfectly on the H2D..

I guess my drying didnt do enough. I also had all the spools engaged so it didnt rotate. I’m going to dry all the spools again in AMS with the spools rotating.

I like to use an AMS HT for drying, this way I can continue to print with other filaments in my AMS 2 Pro. I try to always to rotate the spool during drying.

Anyway sounds like your printer is okay and just a matter of the filament needing more drying.
