H2D Firmware V01.01.02.00 Now in Public Beta

Are you referring to the camera calibration problem? What piece do they send you? I ask you out of curiosity since it doesn’t work for me either. I thought the problem was related to the beta firmware, since, if I remember correctly, it worked for me with the old firmware, at least that’s what it seems to me!

yes

A new camera

I’m the same as you. IIRC, the test didn’t fail when using the old firmware. However, replacing the camera is what they’re proposing, after my examining the connections at both ends of the camera’s ribbon cable failed to show any obvious problems.

I hope Bambulab knows what they’re doing and that I’m not just wasting my time. Because they’re well positioned to see the bigger picture, I give them the benefit of the doubt.

I will also report this to Bambu. If I find the time, maybe I will go back to the production firmware to do a calibration test. Let’s see.
Thanks again for your cooperation

Yes, I recommend you do. For one thing: if indeed replacing the existing camera with a new camera is the solution, it may be the only way to procure it. AFAIK, it’s not a spare part that one can simply purchase from the bambu lab store.

FWIW, on mine, liveview camera calibration works on both production and beta firmware.

same here. I am simply not offered it :frowning:

I received my printer on Tuesday and also joined the Beta through the Bambu Handy App.

But I don’t get the Beta offered yet.

Previously I joined the Closed Beta for the X1C and got the Beta offered without joining the Beta Program in the App.

Might that be the reason why I don’t get the Beta offered for the H2D?

According to tracking the replacement part should arrive on Monday. Fortunately, Bambu shipped from Houston rather than from China. So, assuming it solves the problem, that will be just slightly more than a week from ticket submission to a replacement part in hand. Not sure if that’s standard or possibly we get higher priority because we’re part of the beta program.

would be awesome to finally be able to install the beta. It has been one week since i joined the public beta. Nothing so far. Support told me that they will push the beta to my account after one of their colleagues is back from his vacation.

When this will be, no idea.

Is it possible in the future to toggle Beta per hardware? I don’t want to go into Beta for other models except H2D, for example.

you have to click on update on each hardware? it doesn’t do it automatically?

any news to have it? still nothing on mine…
having to empty ams is pain in the ass.

You can forget it. It also feels like it takes forever. It doesn’t help to deactivate it in the app, wait a few days and then activate it again. No effect. We have to wait until the one employee comes back from vacation :frowning:

Is it not possible to locate the file via wireshark when the printer downloads the update?

Just putting myself in Bambu’s shoes, my guess is that they regulate the size of their tickets backlog by not allowing downloads from new beta testers until the backlog is below a particular threshold. Otherwise they’d be increasing their ticket backlog, and then people would be complaining about ticket turnaround time taking too long. :person_facepalming:

I started my printer today and received the beta. It took exactly one week from joining to getting it.

hmm, I’m just not getting this offered at all. done all the steps and nothing for 8 days

Judging from the postings here, the switch-on time for new beta testers is trending longer the later you sign up.

Contact the support. They can push the beta.
