New H2D Firmware Available for Public Beta Testing!
We’re excited to announce that firmware V01.01.02.00 for the H2D is now available through our Public Beta Program.
How to Join the Beta
To access the beta firmware, simply join the Beta Firmware Program via the Bambu Handy app under Me → Beta Firmware Program.
Once enrolled, the update will be pushed to your device gradually.
Want to Switch Back?
You can leave the Beta Program at any time by disabling the option in the app and installing the latest official firmware version.

The new feature gives you the option to disable auto-rotation during drying. If you enable rotation , the AMS will periodically rotate the empty slots to help distribute heat more evenly. But if you disable it , the filament stays stationary during the drying process.
This feature uses the RFID tags on your filaments to automatically identify the material type and then recommend the best drying settings . For example, if the AMS detects both PETG and PC loaded, it will suggest drying parameters based on the material with the lower recommended drying temperature . This helps avoid accidentally damaging more heat-sensitive filaments by drying at too high a temperature.
No, You can dry without rotating the spools but the filament still has to be disconnected from the feeder so no way to dry and print at the same time.
I only tried with AMS full of PLA though, may be that’s the reason I should try with full of engineering filaments instead but I’m pretty sure it’s the same. Next firmware may allow it except with PLA and some other filaments with low melting temperature now that the drying function reads the RFIDs.
EDIT: Actually, only PLA need to be removed from the feeder, rest can be left inserted but of course, need to uncheck rotating pattern. Still if you start a print with non-PLA filament still inserted, it works but the drying stops. So, no you cannot print and dry (yet)
Im member of the beta program already but hve no option to install the beta firmware. Is there any posability to force the install of the current beta?
Have you tried powering off and on the printer, you may get it at restart that what I had to do to force the beta upgrade.
Otherwise, wait one or two days as Bambu provide them to users in batch, it will come later if not today. FWIW I joined the beta program may be 4 or 5 days prior to the upgrade so I may have been on the first batch.
Nozzle clump detection on this firmwire still isn’t right. When set to medium on the first print after the update, it detected a false positive and wouldn’t print until I set it to low detection.
