for me with my cave at 80% humidity, it will be far better than wet filament
a first step would be to propose to eject all filament, and turn in reverse the spool, i don’t attach them a to clip my spool during drying, not a problem, it turn very slowly
I have the same problem with the bed leveling.
The printer leveled the bed 4 times, after every bed leveling it also homed the the printer.
So bed leveling → homing all axes → homing again x4
Also the Printer does some weird things while printing.
After every 3-4 layers he homes the nozzle on the nozzle offset sensor and then add a little line to the original purge line on the front of the build plate. After my test print is finished I will upload a video of this behaviors.
I may be wrong but I don’t think it was like that with original beta. I’m on 01.01.02.04 now and I noticed the same, I was on 01.01.02.00 before and don’t think I remember the long bed levelling. Are you all on 01.01.02.04 or 01.01.02.00? If it’s limited to 02.04, good thing with bambu handy I can revert to 1st beta 02.00.
It lowers the nozzle on the nozzle offset sensor, then purges a bit of filament on the purgeline and continues printing.
It just happend three times, the rest of this 2 hour print was without interruption.
The parts came out completely flawless too, so im wondering what this purging procedure is doing
I noticed it also. The printer does it at layer 10 and 20 and i do believe it does it one more time. I think that it is a short pressure avance control/calibration. My prints has been really good after the last firmware. Some adjustments in the slicer snd the new firmware and the prints have been flawless without layering issues
I think the camera on the extruder notices a small lump of plastic on the nozzle and goes to clean it. The sensitivity of this function can be adjusted in the settings.
I did a full reset, after installing the firmware I did a full calibration, including temperature calibration, the printer began to print flawlessly, no problems.
I wonder if they’re testing some kind of manual version of the nozzle clumping detection. Sort of like how the a1 series does it by moving to the corner and lowering the nozzle.
I second that. Installed beta. Factory reset. Calibration done. Bed Calibration (both options). Offset Calibration done. Camera Calibration done. Power Cycle and finally it felt like what was advertised.
only one remark: the bed calibration measures some spots with 2-4 and others with up to 13 or 14 probes. However, no errors seen and the overall outcome is outstanding.
Yeah somethings is fishy with the probing but tbh, the prints have been flawless. I dont care if the printer needs 10 or 20 minutes for probing now as long as my 10 hour print comes out perfect
